ARTS FACULTY
In the Arts learning area, students develop creative skills, critical appreciation and knowledge of artistic techniques and technologies. The Arts help students to develop a sense of personal and cultural identity and prepare them for a lifetime involvement and appreciation of the arts.
Margaret River Senior High School has a flourishing Arts Department staffed by passionate and hard working staff.

Students are given numerous avenues throughout the year to display their artistic talents to the school and wider community.
Visual Arts
Visual Art students present work for numerous school and community events and have always performed extremely well in TEE results. Year 11 and 12 Art and Design students use the resources and facilities of the Margaret River Education Campus which gives these students access to TAFE and Universities resources, staff and students.
The Visual Arts are involved in the "Creating Identity" held at the Community Centre which allows students to sell their work and be involved on all aspects of an Art Exhibition. They also present art work at numerous community events throughout the year.
Performing Arts
The Performing Arts Faculty has a flourishing department with students given numerous performances opportunities for them to shine. The Music Department starts the year with the Leeuwin School Spectacular which also involves musicians from around the State. The School then supports the Vintage Stomp held at Voyage Estate Winery by students participating in the parade and then performing dances and dramatic skits throughout the afternoon.
Year 11/12 Drama students present their Scripted Production early in the year which always entertains and surprises the audience with their amazing talents. TEE Drama is offered in both Year 11 and 12 and have continuously obtained great results.
Year 10, 11, 12 Dance students participate in the Achper Dance Festival in Bunbury. This is such a great opportunity for the students to performance in a professional setting whilst watching students from around the South West.
The Performing Arts also present a Cabaret Performance Night, held at the Cultural Centre which displays the talents of dance, drama and music students. This night of performances is accompanied by a meal provided by the Catering students at the High School. This event involves contribution form the whole school and is always enjoyed by everyone involved.
Music students are lucky to have a group of specialist musicians who can guide them as a beginner or help them achieve brilliant results in TEE Music.
Photography
Students produce photos of such a high standard which have been recognised throughout the community. Their photographic work is displayed at numerous school and community events and is well represented at the "Creating Identity" Exhibition.
